Well, we have a blog. After 5 years of riding TwoUp & sharing some of our travels on YouTube it is time to start sharing a few details about who we are & how we travel.
Through this site we will share details of what we pack for motorbike camping, the added complexity of travelling overseas to ride, the gear we choose to use & our audio & video set up. There will also be travel updates, insights to time on the road & time spent in planning as we start to work on the grand adventure.
There will also be some recaps from past trips, insights into the work that goes into editing & producing content & general info we hope you find interesting.
Lets start with a little about us. We have lived in Western Australia after moving from New Zealand in 1998. We call the south west of WA home & both work full time to fund our travel habit. Regan is a tradesman & Leigh works in the banking industry. We have travelled extensively through the South West & a little further afield through the Great Southern & Goldfields regions.
Regan has ridden the Great Central Road through to Alice Springs in 2018 with Leigh driving a support vehicle & this is a trip we would like to do again twoup. There is also still a lot of WA to explore, not to mention the north & east coast of this huge country.
Since buying the bike in NZ, we have been back 4 times, exploring the South Island, taking in the west coast, crossing the country for some of the top of the south & at the start of 2023 we travelled Southland & Central Otago more.
