At long last the time has come, the flights are booked, the KTM Warrant of Fitness & registration has been done & the last minute packing is under way as we prepare to fly for our next adventure - NZ 2Up 2025 Loading...
We have a few changes to make to the 1090 as we have upgraded the navigation system & need to add a mount for this when we arrive. Other maintenance includes an oil change & air filters as we have completed 2 tours since the last service.
For this trip the plan is to head to Dunedin & explore the east coast north to Christchurch, hoping to tour Banks Peninsula & head inland through Ashburton Lakes. We will be guided by the weather on some of the ride & will have camp gear packed to keep options open for accommodation.
While we are on tour, there will be plenty of content still on YouTube. The 4 part John Holland Way adventure has just finished, it has been great to look back on this ride from September 2024, the weather was perfect & the WA Great Southern & Wheatbelt certainly delivered some amazing scenery & riding. We have more local rides from the south west of WA to share every Wednesday & I will be adding GPX files for most of these as they release online.
Here is a sneak peek of what we have been up to - new tour, new T-shirts, plenty of riding, quality control on the editing & a wash for Atlas as we prepare to head overseas for 3 weeks of amazing NZ scenery & new roads to explore.
